About

pooch was built around a small, specific frustration.

you find a dog you love. you bring them home. and almost immediately, every photograph you've ever taken of your kitchen starts to disappear under towels — folded, doubled, stacked, never quite enough. the floor wins. the room loses.

we kept looking for a feeding mat we'd actually be willing to leave out, in the same way we leave out a fruit bowl or a candle. we couldn't find one. so we made the stone.

one product. done well.

the stone is diatomaceous earth — fossilised algae, compressed into a dense, naturally absorbent surface. it pulls water from your floor before it has a chance to spread. it dries on its own. it fits in your sink in four interlocking pieces.

we make it in two sizes. we make a ceramic bowl that sits on it perfectly. we don't sell anything we wouldn't put in our own kitchen.

made in the us. shipped from the us.

everything we sell ships from a us warehouse, free over $130, in 3 to 8 days. we don't dropship. we don't relabel anything. when something arrives, you can see who it's from.

the stone is dense, but it's brittle — handle it like a ceramic plate. if it arrives cracked or chipped in the box, that's on us, and we'll replace it free. damage from a drop after that is normal wear and isn't covered. we'd rather be upfront about that than pretend otherwise.

what we'll never do

  • name a product something a parent would whisper to a baby
  • release a fifth size of the same thing to look like we have a catalog
  • put your dog in our marketing photos. dogs use the floor. they don't sell the floor
  • tell you the stone is "luxury." it's a stone. you decide

thanks for reading this far. if you've got a question we haven't answered, write to us.
